These easy mini turkey and cheese sliders are quick, delicious, and perfect for lunchboxes. With a buttery, savory topping and melty cheddar, they’re a crowd-pleaser that comes together in under 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-count package of Hawaiian sweet rolls (like King’s Hawaiian)
  • 1 pound deli-sliced turkey breast (oven-roasted or honey-smoked)
  • 8 slices of cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as a slab.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the turkey evenly over the bottom rolls, folding slices slightly to fit.
  5. Place the cheese slices over the turkey, tearing if needed to cover the entire surface.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and press down gently.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of black pepper.
  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the top of the rolls.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 12 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes, until tops are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  11. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before cutting along the perforations. Serve warm or cool completely for lunchboxes.

Notes

For extra-crispy bottoms, toast the bottom half of the rolls for 2-3 minutes before adding fillings. If rolls brown too quickly, tent foil loosely over the top. Let sliders rest 5 minutes after baking to prevent cheese from oozing out.
