A quick and easy 10-minute meal featuring crispy salmon cubes tossed in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds, toasted (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Avocado oil spray (for air fryer basket)

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels and place in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Sprinkle cornstarch over the salmon and toss gently until lightly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and avocado oil until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon cubes and toss to coat. Reserve the remaining glaze.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil and arrange salmon cubes in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 minutes, shaking the basket or turning cubes halfway through.
  8. Remove basket, brush reserved glaze over the salmon, and return to air fryer for 2-3 minutes until glaze is sticky and salmon is opaque.
  9. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure salmon cubes are uniform in size for even cooking. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness. If using frozen salmon, thaw completely and pat very dry before cooking. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
