These mummy sausage rolls are a quick, easy, and adorable Halloween snack made with crescent dough and sausage links. They’re flaky, juicy, and perfect for parties or a fun treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 fully cooked sausage links (breakfast links or cocktail sausages)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Mustard for eyes (yellow or Dijon)
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds
  • Optional: Marinara sauce or ketchup for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean cutting board. If using perforated dough, press the seams together to create one solid sheet.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough lengthwise into 8 even strips, about 1 inch wide.
  4. Take one sausage link and place it at one end of a dough strip. Wrap the strip around the sausage, slightly overlapping as you go, leaving a small gap near the top for the ‘face.’ Repeat with remaining sausages and dough strips.
  5. Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each.
  6. In a small bowl, beat the egg with a tablespoon of water. Lightly brush the tops of each mummy with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
  8. Let the mummies cool on the baking sheet for about 2-3 minutes.
  9. Using a toothpick, dot a tiny amount of mustard onto each mummy where the eyes should go.
  10. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Pat sausages dry before wrapping to prevent soggy dough. Leave a gap at the top for the eyes. For make-ahead, assemble up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate. Reheat in oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
