A quick and easy recipe featuring grilled peaches with a smoky char, drizzled with a nutty brown butter honey sauce that balances sweet and savory flavors perfectly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large ripe but firm peaches
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or neutral oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry the peaches. Cut them in half and remove the pits. Brush each peach half lightly with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
  3. Place the peach halves cut-side down on the grill. Grill for 4–5 minutes until grill marks appear and peaches start to soften but still hold their shape.
  4. Flip the peaches and grill the skin side for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Cook, stirring frequently, until it foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma (about 3–4 minutes). Be careful not to burn it.
  6. Remove the pan from heat. Stir in honey, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper if using. Mix until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the warm brown butter honey sauce generously over the grilled peaches. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Brush peaches with oil before grilling to prevent sticking. Brown butter slowly to avoid burning. Watch peaches closely to achieve caramelization without burning. Sauce can be made ahead and reheated gently.
