  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups (315g) all-purpose flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (60ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup softened butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes with an electric mixer.
  3. Add 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, beating until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 ½ cups flour, ½ teaspoon baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. If sticky, sprinkle a little extra flour.
  6. Transfer dough to the prepared pan and press evenly to cover the bottom about ¼-inch thick using fingers or a rolling pin.
  7. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges turn golden brown. Let cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, about 30 minutes.
  8. While the crust cools, beat 8 oz softened cream cheese with ¼ cup honey and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  9. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust using a spatula.
  10. Arrange the fruit topping: place blueberries in the top left corner for the blue field, then alternate rows of sliced strawberries and raspberries to create red and white stripes. Optionally toss berries with 1 tablespoon lemon juice beforehand.
  11. Chill the assembled fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Do not skip parchment paper to prevent sticking. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth spreading. Cool crust completely before adding cream cheese to avoid melting. Slice large strawberries thinly for a cleaner flag design. Chill assembled pizza for best flavor and texture. For gluten-free, substitute flour with gluten-free blend; for vegan, use dairy-free cream cheese and maple syrup.
