A quick and easy fall fruit salad with crisp apples, juicy pears, pomegranate arils, and a creamy honey yogurt dressing. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or any fall gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), diced
  • 2 medium pears (Bosc or Bartlett), diced
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Make the dressing: In a small bowl or mason jar, combine Greek yogurt, honey, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until smooth or shake vigorously. Set aside in the fridge.
  2. Prep the apples: Wash and dry apples. Cut in half, remove core, and dice into 1/2-inch cubes. Toss with a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. Prep the pears: Wash and dry pears. Cut in half, remove core, and dice into 1/2-inch cubes. Add to the bowl with apples.
  4. Add remaining fruit: Add pomegranate arils and halved grapes to the bowl.
  5. Toast the nuts (optional): In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast chopped pecans or walnuts for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
  6. Combine everything: Add toasted nuts and dried cranberries to the fruit. Pour dressing over the top and gently fold until evenly coated.
  7. Chill and serve: For best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with extra pomegranate arils and a dusting of cinnamon.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use thick coconut or almond milk yogurt. To make it vegan, swap honey with maple syrup. If you don’t have pomegranate, dried cherries or fresh raspberries work great. For nut-free, skip the nuts or use pumpkin seeds. Don’t overdress the salad; start with two-thirds of the dressing and add more if needed. The salad is best served chilled or at room temperature.
