A nostalgic and gooey s’mores dip perfect for cozy nights, made with layers of bittersweet chocolate chunks and toasted marshmallows, served with graham crackers for dipping.

  • 8 ounces (225g) bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate chunks
  • 2 cups (about 100g) large marshmallows
  • 1 sleeve (about 12 crackers) graham crackers, broken into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon (14g) unsalted butter, softened (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Butter the skillet or baking dish with about 1 tablespoon of softened unsalted butter.
  3. Spread the chocolate chunks evenly across the bottom of the skillet or dish.
  4. Layer the marshmallows on top of the chocolate, covering it completely.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until marshmallows puff and turn a light caramel color.
  6. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for a darker, crispier top, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top.
  8. Serve immediately with graham crackers arranged around the skillet for dipping.

Notes

Use large marshmallows for even toasting and a perfect golden crust. Cover skillet loosely with foil if chocolate isn’t melting smoothly, then remove foil to toast marshmallows. Watch closely when broiling to avoid burning. Soak skillet immediately after use for easier cleanup. For gluten-free, use gluten-free crackers and for vegan, use dairy-free chocolate, vegan marshmallows, and coconut oil instead of butter.
