A quick and refreshing summer drink blending ripe mango, freeze-dried dragonfruit powder, and fresh lemon juice for a vibrant and tropical lemonade refresher.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ripe mango, peeled and diced (preferably Ataulfo mango)
  • 2 tablespoons freeze-dried dragonfruit powder
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 2 medium lemons)
  • 1 1/2 cups cold filtered water (12 fl oz)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice about 1 cup of ripe mango into chunks.
  2. Roll lemons on the counter, cut, and squeeze out about 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, removing seeds.
  3. In a blender, combine diced mango, lemon juice, sugar or honey, and 1 cup (8 fl oz) cold water. Blend on high for 30 seconds until silky smooth.
  4. Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons freeze-dried dragonfruit powder and pulse blender 2-3 times to mix without breaking down the powder.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed, blending briefly again. Add remaining 1/2 cup (4 fl oz) water for a lighter drink if desired.
  6. Fill glasses with about 1 cup ice cubes each. Pour the mango dragonfruit lemonade refresher over the ice.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and serve immediately. Stir before drinking if settled.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best sweetness and smoothness. Store freeze-dried dragonfruit powder airtight to prevent clumping. Add dragonfruit powder last to maintain vibrant color. Stir before serving if the powder settles. For a bubbly twist, replace half the water with sparkling water before serving. For a pulp-free drink, strain mango mixture before adding dragonfruit powder.
