These easy and healthy pinwheel roll-ups combine fresh turkey, cream cheese, and spinach for a quick snack or appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh turkey breast, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, washed and dried
  • 4 large flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or chives (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse spinach and dry thoroughly. Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese with garlic powder, black pepper, and optional lemon zest or fresh herbs. Stir until smooth and evenly mixed.
  3. Lay each tortilla flat on a clean surface or cutting board.
  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon (15 grams) of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Arrange turkey slices evenly on top of the cream cheese, then add a generous handful of spinach leaves on top.
  6. Roll each tortilla tightly from one edge to form a firm log.
  7. Optionally, wrap the rolls in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to firm up.
  8. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Wipe the knife between cuts if needed.

Notes

Use softened cream cheese for easy spreading to avoid tearing tortillas. Dry spinach thoroughly to prevent sogginess. Chill roll-ups before slicing for cleaner cuts and firmer shape. Substitute turkey with chicken or ham, and use gluten-free wraps for dietary needs.
