A quick and easy summer snack featuring colorful fruit skewers paired with a zesty honey lime yogurt dip, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Blueberries or black currants
  • Seedless green grapes
  • Honeydew or cantaloupe melon balls
  • Wooden or bamboo skewers, about 6 inches long
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse all the fruit under cold water and pat dry gently with a clean towel. Hull and halve the strawberries, leaving them bite-sized. Scoop melon balls with a melon baller or cut into roughly 1-inch cubes. Remove any stems or seeds as needed.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, lime zest, and a pinch of sea salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Chill in the fridge while assembling skewers.
  3. Take a skewer and thread the fruit in a red-white-blue pattern: start with a strawberry half, then melon ball, then blueberry, followed by a green grape. Repeat until the skewer is full, leaving about an inch space at the bottom for holding.
  4. Arrange the skewers on a platter and serve alongside the chilled honey lime yogurt dip. Garnish the dip with extra lime zest or a drizzle of honey if desired.

Notes

Use dairy-free yogurt and maple syrup for a vegan dip. Frozen berries can be used if thawed and drained well. For grilling, soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Prepare skewers up to 24 hours ahead but keep dip separate to avoid sogginess.
