A seasonal brunch cocktail featuring crisp apple cider and sparkling wine, finished with a warm cinnamon sugar rim for a cozy, festive touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ounces fresh apple cider
  • 3 ounces chilled sparkling wine or champagne
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 lemon or lime wedge
  • 1 thin apple slice for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon on a small plate until evenly combined.
  2. Place champagne flutes in the freezer for at least 15 minutes to chill.
  3. Rub the lemon or lime wedge around the outer rim of a chilled glass.
  4. Invert the glass and dip the wet rim into the cinnamon sugar mix, rolling gently to coat evenly. Tap off excess sugar.
  5. Pour 3 ounces of fresh apple cider into the prepared glass, filling it halfway.
  6. Slowly pour 3 ounces of chilled sparkling wine over the cider to preserve bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a thin slice of apple.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure both the cider and wine are well-chilled for the best flavor. Do not prepare ahead of time as the bubbles will dissipate and the sugar rim will dissolve. If the sugar isn’t sticking, ensure the rim is sufficiently wet with juice or cider.
