An easy, elegant elderflower spritz cocktail that is light, floral, and refreshingly bubbly, perfect for at-home date nights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz (60 ml) elderflower cordial
  • 3 oz (90 ml) prosecco
  • 2 oz (60 ml) soda water
  • Fresh lemon wedge
  • Optional garnishes: fresh mint leaves, thin lemon slices or peels, edible flowers

Instructions

  1. Chill your glasses in the fridge or freezer for 5 minutes.
  2. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of elderflower cordial into each glass.
  3. Cut a lemon wedge and squeeze about a teaspoon of juice into the glass.
  4. Slowly add 3 oz (90 ml) of chilled prosecco, pouring gently down the side of the glass.
  5. Add 2 oz (60 ml) soda water for fizz and freshness.
  6. Gently stir with a spoon or stirrer to combine ingredients without losing bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a lemon slice or peel and a sprig of fresh mint if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill glasses before making the spritz to keep it crisp longer. Use good quality elderflower cordial for best flavor. Pour prosecco gently down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles. Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of cordial. Fresh lemon juice is preferred over bottled. Mint garnish is optional but adds aroma and freshness. Serve immediately for best fizz.
