A simple, refreshing 5-ingredient elderflower spritz mocktail perfect for family gatherings and any occasion, combining delicate floral notes with fizzy bubbles and a hint of citrus.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) elderflower syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill your glasses (optional, about 5 minutes).
  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of elderflower syrup into each glass, then add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Add ice cubes until the glass is about two-thirds full.
  4. Slowly pour 1 cup (8 ounces) of sparkling water into the glass to keep bubbles lively.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint (lightly slap mint leaves before adding to release aroma). Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Pour sparkling water slowly to maintain fizz. Large ice cubes melt slower and prevent dilution. Slapping mint leaves releases aromatic oils. Adjust syrup and lemon juice to taste for sweetness and tartness balance. Can be prepared ahead by mixing syrup and lemon juice and refrigerating up to 24 hours; add ice and sparkling water before serving.
