A smooth, tangy, and flavorful dip featuring cream cheese, sour cream, everything bagel seasoning, and smoked salmon. Perfect for poolside gatherings or casual get-togethers.

  • ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • 4 oz (115 g) smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained (optional)
  • Black pepper, freshly cracked to taste
  • Optional garnishes: thinly sliced red onion or chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for about 30 minutes before starting.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in everything bagel seasoning, fresh lemon juice, and freshly cracked black pepper. Mix gently to combine and taste to adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Fold in the drained capers and chopped fresh dill carefully to maintain texture and vibrancy.
  5. Thinly slice the smoked salmon into bite-sized pieces or strips, reserving a few slices for garnish.
  6. Gently fold most of the smoked salmon into the dip, leaving some for topping.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving dish, smooth the top, and arrange the reserved smoked salmon slices on top. Sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning and garnish with chopped chives or thin red onion slices if desired.
  8. Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and the dip firm up slightly.

Soften cream cheese well to avoid lumps. Fold smoked salmon and herbs gently to preserve texture. Chill dip for at least 30 minutes for best flavor and texture. If dip is too thick after chilling, stir in a splash of milk or lemon juice to loosen. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
