A quick and easy overnight oats recipe that requires no blending, just a fork and a jar. Creamy, protein-packed, and perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, dark chocolate chips, extra peanut butter, chopped nuts, fresh berries

Instructions

  1. Start with your jar or container. Grab a 16-ounce mason jar or any container with a lid.
  2. Add the dry ingredients first: pour in 1/2 cup (50g) of old-fashioned rolled oats, 1 tablespoon (12g) of chia seeds (if using), and a tiny pinch of salt. Give it a quick stir with a fork.
  3. Add the peanut butter: spoon in 2 tablespoons (32g) of creamy peanut butter. If cold, microwave for 10 seconds to soften.
  4. Pour in the milk: add 1/2 cup (120ml) of unsweetened almond milk. Let it sit for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the protein powder: scoop in 1 scoop (about 30g) of vanilla protein powder, sprinkling evenly over the surface.
  6. Drizzle the maple syrup: add 1 tablespoon (15ml) of maple syrup.
  7. Stir everything together with a fork vigorously for about 30 seconds, scraping the bottom and corners of the jar until the mixture is uniform and creamy.
  8. Taste and adjust: add more sweetness, milk, or salt if needed.
  9. Seal and refrigerate: put the lid on and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  10. Enjoy in the morning: stir, add a splash of milk if too thick, top with desired toppings, and eat cold or microwave for 30 seconds if preferred.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients to prevent peanut butter from seizing. For plant-based protein, mix with a splash of warm water first to prevent clumps. Oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. Adjust liquid ratio based on protein powder absorption.
