This creamy, protein-packed smoothie bowl is ready in just 5 minutes and perfect for impressing guests or fueling your day. Made with simple pantry ingredients, it’s customizable to any diet and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large ripe banana (frozen is best)
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 30g)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Toppings (your choice): sliced banana, granola, shredded coconut, cacao nibs, honey, extra peanut butter, cinnamon, frozen berries

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients. Take your frozen banana out of the freezer. If using fresh banana, peel and break into chunks. Measure out peanut butter, milk, protein powder, chia seeds, vanilla, and salt.
  2. Add liquid first. Pour the almond milk into your blender.
  3. Add the banana and peanut butter. Drop in the frozen banana chunks and peanut butter. If peanut butter is thick, warm it slightly in the microwave.
  4. Add the dry ingredients. Scoop in the protein powder, chia seeds (if using), vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Blend until smooth. Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for about 30-45 seconds until thick and creamy. If too thick, add a splash more milk. If too thin, add ice cubes or extra protein powder.
  6. Scrape and stir. Turn off blender, scrape down sides with a rubber spatula, stir, and blend for another 10 seconds.
  7. Pour into a bowl. Use spatula to get every last bit into your bowl.
  8. Add your toppings. Arrange sliced banana, granola, coconut, berries, or whatever you like. Drizzle extra peanut butter and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  9. Serve immediately. Enjoy while still cold and thick.

Notes

Freeze bananas peeled and halved for best results. Use cold milk to keep the bowl thick. Don’t over-blend to avoid melting. Taste before adding toppings and adjust sweetness or peanut butter as needed. For a thicker bowl, add more frozen banana, ice cubes, or chia seeds. For a thinner bowl, add more milk.
