A fast and easy recipe for crispy, tender salmon bites cooked straight from frozen in the air fryer, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces frozen salmon bites (wild-caught preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground preferred)
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Place 12 ounces of frozen salmon bites into a mixing bowl. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, ¾ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon black pepper over the salmon bites. Toss again until well coated.
  4. Arrange the salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes. Flip the bites gently with tongs halfway through cooking (at 5 minutes).
  6. Check for doneness; the salmon bites should be crispy on the outside and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Add 1-2 minutes if needed.
  7. Transfer to a plate, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for best crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the basket to ensure even cooking. Flip salmon bites halfway through cooking. Use a food thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For extra flavor, add dried herbs like thyme or oregano to the seasoning mix. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
