A quick and easy no-bake dessert made with Oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate. Perfect for busy weeknights, these truffles are rich, creamy, and require no oven time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreos (about 14 oz / 400g)
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz (340g) chocolate chips or melting chocolate (semi-sweet or dark)
  • Optional: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, espresso powder, sea salt, white chocolate for coating or drizzling

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Alternatively, place Oreos in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin until fine.
  2. Transfer Oreo crumbs to a large bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mix with a hand mixer or spoon until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll into balls. Place on the tray evenly spaced.
  4. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth, heating in 30-second increments if microwaving.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, coating fully. Let excess chocolate drip off and place back on the parchment-lined tray. Optionally sprinkle toppings before chocolate sets.
  7. Return the dipped truffles to the fridge for 15 minutes to set the chocolate coating before serving.

Notes

Softening the cream cheese is essential for smooth mixing. Chill truffles before dipping to prevent falling apart. Use good-quality chocolate for best results. Truffles can be rolled in cocoa powder or powdered sugar as an alternative to dipping. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
